Experience for RDK Operators

Rovi Corporation (NASDAQ: ROVI) today announced that Rovi has been
selected by Entone to power a next-generation guide on its new Agora
Home Server. Entone plans to use Rovi Cloud Services to deliver a
personalized entertainment discovery experience for consumers.
Rovi Cloud Services offers flexible, scalable, and modular media APIs
that enable the rapid creation and deployment of next-generation
entertainment experiences. The company’s cloud platform comprises a
range of applications and services, including conversational interfaces,
metadata, recommendations, remote access and search services, to drive
content consumption and increase revenue opportunities for service
providers.
Entone’s implementation of Rovi Cloud Services is fully integrated with
the Reference Design Kit (RDK 2.0), a pre-integrated software bundle
that provides a common framework for powering customer-premises
equipment (CPE) from TV service providers. Entone’s Agora Home Server
features a quad-core ARM CPU rated at 22,000 DMIPS, MoCA 2.0 and
802.11ac wireless. It supports HEVC and Ultra HD (i.e. 4K) content as
well as the ability to transcode up to 4 simultaneous HD sessions.
